To all Dames and Knights, Brethren of  Our Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem Knights of Malta Federation of Autonomous Priories, let it be known by the present letters that

We, Jose, by the Grace of God Hereditary Regent and Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Order of Cyprus, Hereditary Prior Procurator General of the Grand Priory of the Most Holy Trinity of Villedieu and by the Will of the fellow knights Grand Master - Regent of the Federation of Autonomous Priories of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, also said of the Knights of Malta, in virtue of the Constitutional powers bestowed upon Us, and

considering that for the structure of Our Sovereign Order to respect, observe and correspond to its glorious historical and traditional past, this structure has to be served by Knights and Dames of high value and human qualities ;

considering that the service and the development of Our Sovereign Order requires personal
commitment and sacrifice of all our Knights and Dames, specially of those in positions of leadership;

considering that the new Grand Priory of the German “Langue”, created by Our Decree nro 03/08, needs to be organized and managed;

having in consideration the real needs of the Federation and the competence, high moral principles and exemplary humanitarian values of the Knight appointed by the present Decree, and in accordance with the Article Nro  2 of the Chapter VII of our Constitutional Letter

We come to decree and We do decree:

ARTICLE 1.  Prince Sir HANS-WOLFGANG DE HEIDENDORF-MOHNSSEN,  Knight of Grand Cross of Malta, is appointed has Eminent  GRAND PRIOR OF THE GERMAN “LANGUE” to organize and lead this Grand Priory.

a) The new Grand Prior must consult the Grand Master-Regent, or, in His absence, the Lieutenant General, before taking any major decision, and must act accordingly the instructions received from them. He must also keep the Grand Master – Regent and the Lieutenant General informed about all the facts, actions and events of this Grand Priory.

ARTICLE 2. In the performance of his duties the New Grand Prior must by all means:

a) Promote the stability and the unity of the Federation;
b) Promote the enlargement of Our Sovereign Order and of Our State;
c) Promote the Development of Our Humanitarian Work in favor of the poor, the ill and the people in need with no discrimination whatsoever;
d) Protect, defend and safeguard the high prestige and good name of Our Sovereign Order and State;
e) Obey and promote obedience, in all matters to the laws of the Federation, to the national laws of the countries comprehended in his Priory as well as the international laws in general.

ARTICLE 3.  The present Magisterial Decree is effective from this day on. This decree, was given in two pages, at Our Grand Magisterial House on this 16th day of the month of February of the year of our Lord 2008 and to it We affix Our Hand and Seals in use at this House.
