The 22nd Sacred and Solemn Joint Investiture of the Grand Priories of Malta and Gozo of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem – held in the island of Malta – was executed on the 25th April 2015. Among hundreds of Lazarite brethren and sisters and a number of deputations from various countries in which the Order is represented, the delegation of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, Federation of the Autonomous Priories (KMFAP) was also present at the event represented by: H.G. Prof. George Popper, Lady Anna Popper (both of them are members of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem too), Sir Alexander Czellárik – Slovakian Grand Prior, and Sir András Niklós.

The Hungarian Grand Priory of the Order of Saint Lazarus was represented by H.E. András Stefán – Aide de Camp of the Grand Chancellor, Dame Viktória Veres and Dame Viktória Niklós Vincze.

The event took place this time in a new venue, in the beautiful assembly hall of the XVIII. Century Palazzo Parisio located in the heart of the picturesque city of Naxxar. The investiture – accompanied by a high-quality musical program – was conducted by H.E. Richard Comyns of Ludston GCLJ GCMLJ, Supreme Grand Prior of the Order and H.E. Max Ellul, Grand Chancellor.

Among others, Ms. Renáta Mellár – President of the Fejér County organization of the “Blind and Visually Impaired” – became member of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem.

On the occasion of this significant ceremony H.G. Prof. George Popper – Lieutenant General, Deputy Grand Master of Knights of Malta (KMFAP) handed over to H.E. Max Ellul – Grand Chancellor of the Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem the KMFAP Medal of Merit – Class Gold.

After the investiture, the luncheon was held in the garden of Palazzo Parisio.
