Establishing Diplomatic Relations between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and KMFAP
 
The Government of the State of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, Federation of the Autonomous Priories (KMFAP) has the pleasure of informing that Diplomatic Relations at Ambassadorial level have been established with the esteemed Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of the 18th January 1961.



On Monday, 27th January 2020, H.E. Sir Muteba Kami Kashama, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of KMFAP to the DRC, presented his Credential Letters to His Excellency Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, during an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Kinshasa.



As a token of the importance of this moment and of the KMFAP’s willingness to cooperate with the Congolese Government, the ceremony of presentation of Credentials had the presence of a high level delegation composed of H.E. Sir Jovan Kovacic, KMFAP Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Sir Reinaldo de Sousa Viriato, State Secretary for African Affairs of the KMFAP Ministry for Foreign Affairs and H.E. Sir Júlio César Gonçalves Quaresma, KMFAP Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Angola. By this the State of the Federation (KMFAP) reinforces its presence in the Central African region.



The diplomatic ceremony was followed by an official dinner hosted by Ambassador H.E. Sir Muteba Kami Kashama, at the Ambassador’s Residence in Kinshasa.
